Bitter/Sweet

January 20th, 2008 marks a year since the trip that changed my life.
So much has changed since that snowy day a year ago, events that have shaped and re-shaped my life.
I left my dead end job to go back to school. My course isn't going so bad, I have my ups and downs. I moved out of my cozy little apartment to a new town and a room in the residence for school, it too has it's ups and downs. My life is good and I want to say that that trip changed it, it definitely did, in some ways. For example if it wasn't for seeing that game and the media around it I wouldn't have realised that I too could be doing that.
I've made new friends that helped me realise that I am who I am.
Most importantly I realised that dreams do come true they just may need a little time, and I can be happy.
And even though sometimes change is hard it is usually for the better.

I can't believe a year has past, it seems like just yesterday I was super excited to hop on that plane and head down to Pittsburgh, if i could do it all over again, I would in heart beat.
