where to start on this game and the ever looming trade deadline(which is today, but I wrote this list last night after the game)...
-Mitch Flynn is back in town...I think I mentioned that I had asked him how he was doing(about a week ago) but he never answered and his facebook and msn never said anything about coming back, so I thought he might be pulling a stint like last year and not come back after Christmas. But sure enough he was in the rink as soon as we got there :)
-Curtis Black started and let in 3 goals in the first period. During the 1st intermission I saw Peter MacIntosh taking one of Jordan Bent's sticks to the locker room, I unfortunately called the change in goaltenders :(
-Just before the game it was announced that Adam Donovan got traded!!
-During the warm up we saw a kid arrive with a Truro Bearcats hockey bag, he was introduced to tow of the players that were not playing and followed the coach to the dressing room. The next thing we knew he was on the bench for O Canada with a jersey that had his name on it... the kid's name is Adam Laite...he had an assist and a goal, not bad for a newbie, haha. Looks like a good player.
-It was the first time that I saw Chad Liley(a trade that happened just before the Christmas break) ...I hope he gets better(he wasn't bad, he was just kind of there). He is young I think so I think he will be back next year...
-It sucked seeing Kyle Chagnon(suspended), Mitch Flynn(injured) and Peter MacIntosh(also injured) sitting out. Not sure when Pete or Flynn will be back and I don't know how many games Chags got
-Pat Ryder got his lip cut at the end of the game, heard he went to the hospital for stitches, it didn't look tooo bad but it bled real good.
-Brogan bailey apparently has a broken jaw, he was wearing a cage.
Oh and we lost the game the 3 goals that Black let in in the first proved to be enough for the win but Bent let in 3 more, 6-2 was the final score. Another game tonite, hopefully we can turn things around we went from 2-0 to 2-2 already this year(2009. after the Christmas break).
