Slammers trivia...

OK not really, but maybe some day...
What date did the Woodstock Slammers introduce their third jerseys?!?!
Jan. 16th, 2009!

OK so it JUST happened, and there wasn't a big deal made about them. The boys wore their regular green home jerseys and their new(black and green with a thin white stripe) socks for the warm up. But they burst out on the ice to start the game with their brand new black Rbk jerseys(and brand new confidence) with the new logo on the front! I must say they are very nice and look really sharp!

When the season started the new jerseys were talked about. The new logo seemed to show up everywhere, except on their jerseys. It was even mentioned that they would be unveiled in October but October passed without the new jerseys. Then this past Thursday there was an announcement on the Slammers website saying that the new jerseys would be unveiled Friday night!

Jordan Bent started the game and had his 2nd shutout in as many games and his third since the Christmas break. This game also marked the first game for 2 new guys that joined the Slammers just before the trade deadline and the first game back for two of our injured players(Flynn and MacIntosh) it was great to see them back.
So far there have been two games with the new jerseys and the boys are 2 and 0 with the new jerseys(3-0 win Friday night and 3-2 on Saturday).
And I am already looking forward to next weekends games!!
